I’m certain that all of you have seen the amazing Marilyn Monroe pop art portrait by the one and only Andy Warhol. The Marilyn Diptych from 1962 (can we just pause for a second and appreciate the art that was created 55 years ago with almost no computer technology available) is actually a silkscreen or if you prefer a screen printing painting. Together with Campbells Soup Cans, Chelsea Girls and the portrait of the American Beauty they are Andy’s most noted works. The original piece is currently owned by the Tate in London. I’d definitely recommend going and having a look!
As I always was a big fan of Andy’s work (besides here in The Photo Cabin we love to test and explore new fun things that you can do with photo booths) I decided to check if it would be possible to create the photo that could then transfer into a perfect copy of the classic visual art movement. After hours of trying to make it look like I wanted we finally got the perfect recipe.
Not only you could add something special to your event but also you could make your own pop art without even trying! Imagine how much fun would that be for everyone to create their own Andy Warhol style piece of art. It also doesn’t necessary means that this would work for one person only. As you can see on the example picture it ’s perfect for couples as well!
The best part of it is that you don’t even need any special equipment! All you need is any of The Photo Cabin photo booths! How cool is that!? It’s pretty cool if you ask me!
Wedding, Birthday Party, Bar Mitzvah or even Corporate you name it! You can fit it to any kind of event. Effects like this are never going out of fashion and can surprise young and old!
Are you having an event in London or anywhere else for that matter and would like something original and cool like Andy Warhol’s photo booth? We got you covered! Just drop us a message and we’ll get you booked in.The Photo Cabin News
