I’m certain that all of you have seen the amazing Marilyn Monroe pop art portrait by the one and only Andy Warhol. The Marilyn Diptych from 1962 (can we just pause for a second and appreciate the art that was created 55 years ago with almost no computer technology available) is actually a silkscreen or if you prefer a screen printing painting. Together with Campbells Soup Cans, Chelsea Girls and the portrait of the American Beauty they are Andy’s most noted works. The original piece is currently owned by the Tate in London.
