Pace London Past/Present Launch After Party
This star-studded after party celebrated the launch of a new art exhibition by Nathaniel Mary Quinn, one of the rising stars of the New York art scene.
Quinn, who was abandoned by his family at the age of 15 and grew up in one of Chicago’s poorest housing estates, chose London to make his artistic debut – and it was a great honour to be involved with the event.
The party took place in September 2014 right in the heart of London, at a private members’ club near Trafalgar Square. We delivered one of our compact Photo Tower booths to the venue, and ensured it was customised to appeal to the artistic tastes of the event organisers.
As you can see in the pictures above, the booth was set to take just one photo at a time as per client’s request (rather than the usual four) and then printed them as high quality 6×4″ prints. Guests were able to apply any of six filters to their photos – black and white, colour, sepia, blue tone and two retro Instagram style filters – and all branding on the prints was added automatically as a digital overlay.
The gallery said they wanted to create their own props for their guests to play with, and we consulted with them to make sure these were the best they could be. For example, we provided them with advice about how to choose materials that wouldn’t reflect light and ruin the photographs.
Celebrity guests at the event included the Made in Chelsea star, Mark Francis – pictured above.
